BlogMuse from Hell: Patricia Arquette Fills in for A-Listers at Paris Fashion Week
Posted on: Jul 3 |
Written by Adrian Twist - The fantastical Paris Fall Couture 2009 fashion week kicked off a couple days ago in France and one oddity that really jolts you back to reality is the ubiquitous grand entrances of Patricia Arquette, star of the television show Medium, but better known as Nicholas Cage's ex-wife or Courtney Cox's sister-in-law.
Not particularly known for her cutting edge designer purchases or refined taste - Frock Me! - why was this ingénue bringing her plump and frump to all the major shows? I can't imagine Giorgio Armani or Jean Paul Gaultier hoping for the miracle of her celestial presence.
![]() [Why such a sour face @ her arrival for the Giorgio Armani show?] ![]() [She's definitely no Halle Berry arriving @ Elie Saab (L) or Nicole Kidman @ Chanel (R)] (Photos by Francois Durand/Getty Images Europe) Who's Letting (Making?) Amy Winehouse Perform in Her Current Condition?

BEFORE: Amy Winehouse performs "Rehab" live at Glastonbury 2007...
&AFTER: Another year of saying "NO-NO-NO" to rehab, she performed the same song this past Saturday @ Glastonbury 2008...
(She punches the wrong concert-goer at the 48 second mark)
I say it's Sad-Sad-Sad !!!
Shakira Gyrates Onto the Live Nation Bandwagon

Colombian singing sensation Shakira has reportedly signed a long-term ten year deal with Live Nation. Her deal is estimated to be worth between 70-100 million dollars. $70M for ten years? That comes out to roughly $7M per year before taxes, agent fees, publicists, etc. I thought international pop stars made crazy money. Considering the state of our dollar, if she's smart she'd pull a Gisele Bündchen and re-negotiate it in Euros. She follows in the footsteps of Madonna, Jay-Z, and U2 by aligning herself with the concert powerhouse. They will be responsible for recordings, concerts, merchandising, and other aspects of her career. She is still obligated to deliver three more records to her current label, Epic Records. Will she still be worth anything in four records time from now? Pop careers are as fleeting as fashion trends. Your memory will probably be fuzzy, but remember when Mya, Lauryn Hill and Toni Braxton were hot commodities in the music industry? Now that Madonna is no longer contractually obligated to Warner Music Group, it will be interesting to see if her first foray with Live Nation will bring back a return on their huge investment. Tatum O'Neal Gets Sentenced
Posted on: Jul 2 |
Written by Adrian Twist - A New York judge sentenced Tatum O'Neal this morning for her arrest in early June for attempting to buy crack cocaine on the streets. Her extremely light sentence is two half-days of drug treatment and a whopping $95 fine. The 44-year-old former actress claims she was "researching a role" at the time of the bust. It's kind of nice to see the misguided actress getting a second chance, but she really needs to get over her dramatic blame and guilt finger pointing compiled on top of her daddy issues. Granted, Ryan O'Neal will never win any "Father of the Year" awards, but his Academy Award winning daughter needs to take responsibility for her own actions and get her life together. Whining about and blaming daddy for your tragic life is only cute when you're an angst-ridden teen. Jessica Alba Replaces Rose McGowan in Barbarella
